When you sign in to Dhanlytics using Google Sign-In, we receive your Google email address. This is the only piece of personal information transmitted to our servers. We do not collect your name, phone number, address, or any other personal details.

Information stored locally on your device

All your financial data — including income details, tax calculations, investments, goals, life events, and simulation results — is stored entirely within your browser's local database (IndexedDB). This data resides on your device and is never transmitted to Dhanlytics servers. We have no access to this data.

Automatically collected information

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, session duration, device type, browser type, and approximate geographic location. This data helps us understand how the product is used and improve it. No financial or personally identifiable information is included in analytics data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: Your Google email address is used to identify your account and enable sign-in.
• Product improvement: Aggregated, anonymous analytics data helps us understand usage patterns and improve Dhanlytics.
• Communication: We may use your email address to send important service-related updates. We will not send marketing emails without your consent.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• Google: Your email address is processed by Google as part of the OAuth authentication flow. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics: Anonymous usage data is processed by Google Analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government request under applicable Indian law.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Financial data: Stored entirely in your browser's local database. Dhanlytics has no access to this data. You are responsible for safeguarding your device.
• Email address: Stored securely on our servers with industry-standard encryption and access controls.
• Analytics data: Processed and stored by Google on its infrastructure, governed by Google's security practices.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Tracking

Dhanlytics uses the following cookies:

• Authentication cookies: Used to maintain your signed-in session after Google Sign-In.
• Google Analytics cookies: Used to collect anonymous usage statistics. These cookies do not contain personal or financial information.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to sign in to the application.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: All your financial data is already accessible to you locally in the app. You can export it at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete all locally stored data by clearing your browser data or using the app's data management options. To delete your server-side account data (email address), contact us at hello@dhanlytics.com.
• Portability: The app provides JSON export functionality, giving you full portability of your financial data.
• Withdraw consent: You may withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account.

7. Data Retention

• Local data: Persists in your browser until you clear it manually or uninstall the application.
• Email address: Retained on our servers as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion request, your data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics as per Google's data retention policies.

8. Children's Privacy

Dhanlytics is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@dhanlytics.com and we will promptly delete such information.

9. Regulatory Compliance

This privacy policy is designed to comply with applicable Indian data protection laws, including:

• The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023
• The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011

By design, Dhanlytics minimizes data collection and stores financial information locally on your device, inherently reducing data protection risk. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of Dhanlytics after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
